Lebanese-born Canadian singer Massari took Bahrain by storm on Thursday night when he packed close to 3,000 fans at his concert in Manama. Massari fans, including some in traditional Arabic dress and females wearing head-scarves, danced to his tunes and cheered as he took stage for the third time of his career in the Middle East and for the first time in Bahrain. It was True Love between Massari and his fans, who had lined up hours earlier at the concert gates. The R&B sensation did not disappoint the crowds, as he dazzled them with his performance and sent them into a frenzy when ever he addressed them, including speaking at times fluently in their native language, Arabic. "It is just amazing to see an Arab and a Muslim be in the spotlight for something other than being accused to having links to terrorism," one fan said. "It goes to show that this part of the world is not all about oil and war, but is about being open to other cultures and loving peace."

Massari at Super Stage, Ottawa
With hip-hopster Massari, a little goes a long way in his hometown Ottawa. The largest audience of the season, more than 3,000 fans, jammed the Super Stage last night for the Ottawa-based R&B sensation's all-too-brief 40-minute set. What the show lacked in quantity, the 25-year-old R&B sensation made up for with earth-shaking volume and energy. Exactly what his audience, made up primarily of young women brandishing "I Love Massari" posters, were there for -- a super-slick night of loud and proud dance music with a distinctly Middle Eastern flavour. Accompanied by DJ Vico and dancers Natalia and LaToya, Massari -- whose name means money in Arabic -- kicked off his set with the thundering Follow My Lead and kept the basslines and butts moving with a tightly choreographed, non-stop set including Find a Partner, Rush the Floor, Gone Away, Don't Let Go and Be Easy -- nearly his whole self-titled 2005 release, in one virtually uninterrupted flow.
Massari's Peace Message
When teenage girls start screaming out your name and you can hear your track being played on most major Asian and Arab music channels you know you've made it. But the road to success still sometimes feels "strange" for Muslim RnB sensation Massari, not that he's not enjoying every moment of living out his dream. The Lebanese born Canadian native is already a huge hit in Arab countries. Now he has made it in Canada and has recently broken into the Asian market with his single "Be Easy".He said: "You know it's weird because in a way I expected fame but at the same time it's so overwhelming to get up on stage now and people are going crazy, screaming out my name. They are singing to every word of my song. It feels so good.” The Ottawa-based artist became a sensation after the release of his self-titled album in May 2005 by Capital Prophet Records.
